Phil Waxes Philosophical

Phil did a lot oph wondering today.

Why is the grass green?
Why is the sky blue?
Why does Hubby have a rock garden growing in the wheelbarrow?
And why are the words Pound Cake imprinted on our phront door?

Where You'll Phind Hubby

Phrom now until the phirst snowphall, you will phind Hubby swinging into his new practice net.

Phil is inside taking cover phrom the dust and noise kicked up by Hubby's saw. He's preparing the way phor a grate to help with water runophph.
Bephore that, he built new shelves in the garage so there's more room to move around.
Leave it to Hubby to be industrious on a hot and humid day.

Phailed Phriendship

Aphter phailing to make a phriend oph the big bird, Phil tried again with this phrog.
But the phrog wasn't much phor making phriends either. Phil is thinking it's about time to get back to his phurry phriends at home.

Vacation Day 4

Aphter a phull day oph golphing, biking, and eating yesterday, Phil was ready phor a day oph wandering around a diphpherent lake town today.
He worked up quite an appetite playing at a really big toy store.
This place has a big menu...
...and a great view oph a lake.
Now Phil is stuphphed...
...and ready to relax on the dock oph the lake.
While on the dock, Phil spotted a big bird.
He went over to try to make phriends...
...but the big bird was a little alooph.

Phurry Worry

No, Phil, Duke didn't blow up.
That's just all the hair Hubby brushed ophph him aphter his bath.
See, there's Duke over there, eating grass.
Phor anyone wanting a birdy baby update, the little pheathered ones are doing phine. They've stayed in the nest and are growing daily.
This is what happens when we get too close to the nest when checking on them. Daddy bird--we call him Mr. T because he has a pheather mohawk--puphphs himselph up and chirps at us phrom atop the phence.

Operation Save the Baby Birdies

Last night, Hubby came across a baby bird on the ground. While looking phor the nest, Wiphey discovered a second baby and an egg on the ground. Aphter shedding a phew tears phor their saphety, Wiphey and Phil convinced Hubby to help save the baby birdies. He and Wiphey got them up in the little nest they phound perched a bit too close to the edge oph a limb and have kept an eye on them since. Aphter putting them back three times, Hubby decided a little phixing up was in order.
He tied some branches up to nestle the nest better. To be phair, the whole mess was our phault because we had trimmed away a lower branch yesterday, not knowing their nest needed that branch.

Now the nest is more secure, but will the parents phind them?
One oph them was phlittering about in an upper branch soon aphter Hubby's work. We got out oph there, but Phil will be back to check on them later.
