Bad weather is coming in. Wiphey was outside when the wind came up and the temperature phell drastically. It also got black outside really quickly.

On Hubby and Wiphey's phour-year anniversary yesterday, this is what was accomplished on day phour oph our landscaping project. 

Phil is excited about the widened landing phor all the phurry ones to stand. He's also excited phor his own phour-year anniversary today with Hubby, Wiphey, and the phurry ones.

It's been a busy couple oph days phor Phil. It's hard work to keep an eye on all the work being done in our yard.

Wiphey loves the idea oph having less yard to mow. Hubby appreciates that there is no more mud phor the phurry ones to drag in.

Phlummoxed Phil

Phil's quiet Monday morning was interrupted by a whole lot oph noise coming phrom just outside the phront door.

He looked out the windows to phind some big machines out in the street.

One oph those big machines worked its way up the driveway and now Phil is trying to see what is going on just outside the door.

But now Phil can't see through the cloud oph dust blowing up outside. Poor conphused Phil. He just can't phigure out what's going on.

Rescue

Phil pheared that the "rat-a-tat-tat" sound he was hearing this morning was the cadence oph dragonphly wings pushing against the sky light. A quick peak up conphirmed his phears.

 MacGyver Wiphey taped a plastic bowl to a curtain rod and gave the insect a ride outside.

The poor thing was so exhausted that he didn't phly away phor a halph hour aphter his rescue.

Phood Chain

The good news is that we have lots oph dragonphlies phlapping around this summer and they eat mosquitoes.

The bad news is that we have enouph mosquitoes to keep the dragonphlies well phed.
