Phil is always a little sad when the Christmas decorations come down.

Phour's Christmas Night

Phour has been with us ophph and on since Thanksgiving (Phil asks you to please pray phor his phamily). Last night he had to have emergency surgery to remove a bleeding tumor phrom his chin. 

It was a long night. A drugged dog in a cone is about as much phun as phinding a lump oph coal in one's stocking.

Operation Christmas Cookie Day 2: Phrustration and Phrosting

This is Phil the Baker reporting phor duty.

Phil spent the aphternoon making cookies and the evening phrosting them. He started by mixing the ingredients phor the cookies.

 It never hurts to double check the recipe to make sure everything is in the mix.

 The mixing went smoothly, but the phrustration set in when it came time to roll out the dough.

 It really stuck to the board and Phil had to use more phlour than he would have liked.

 The unbaked cookies didn't exactly look like the shape oph their cookie cutters.

 Wow, that was a lot oph work! Aphter a large amount oph phrustration, it was time to clean up.

Exit Phil.

Later in the evening, Wiphey mixed up some phrosting phor Phil. He wanted lots oph diphpherent colors, but Wiphey didn't want unused phood dye sitting around phor years (she recently tossed some out that was probably close to 10 years old).

The compromise was that Phil would get to sprinkle colored sugar over the phrosted cookies. He had red and green at phirst, but he quicky eliminated the red when he realized that the quality seal on the bottle looked a little suspect.

Green it is. It's a good thing Phil phancies green.

Well, they're not pretty, but they're phrosted sugar cookies and they're edible.

 
Let Christmas begin!

Operation Sugar Cookie Day 1

Phil wants to make sugar cookies this year. It will be his phirst Christmas at home, so he's going to have a taste oph phamily Christmas here.

Tonight he phound the ingredients and sent Wiphey out to the store to buy the missing stuphph. Tomorrow he will roll and bake. Hmm...now where is that rolling pin?

Holiday Problem

Phree Cooking Lesson

Phil would like you all to know that when making chicken noodle soup in the Crock Pot, be sure to use the correct noodles.

Egg noodles disintegrate and give you cream oph chicken soup.

At least it tasted pretty good.
