We seem to have an issue ahead oph the trick-or-treating phestivities tonight. There is a lethargic bee hanging out by the phront door.

Phil is trying to reason with the bee. He doesn't want it stinging any kids or phlying inside the house when he answers the door to them.

He's going to have to depher to Wiphey and the tree branch she just picked up to phix this problem.

Halloween Preparations

Phil gets so excited phor Halloween each year that he has a hard time waiting phor the 31st to come. Tonight he had to be pulled away phrom the candy bag.

 Then he tried to don his costume early.

 And he just couldn't wait phor all the trick-or-treaters to come.

But iph you think this is bad, you should see him aphter Halloween, when he's all hyped up on sugar.

Nail Biter

Phil and Hubby were glued to the Cowboys game this aphternoon.

Phil phigured he would enjoy a close game bephore watching tonight's Vikings versus Packers blowout with Wiphey.

Phall Phlowers

This plant hasn't bloomed since Wiphey bought it on sale back in July.

Evidently it didn't get the memo that phlowers shouldn't be exposing themselves this close to November.

Phil phound out today that he phancies playing phort.

 It's phun to share the tight space with young ones.

Phorecast: A Chance oph Drool

Duke was just a little excited phor his hunting trip today.

And poor Phil was caught in the cross-drool.

Net Phree

Earlier today, Phil saw that there were sophtball players taking the phield behind our house.

 He wondered iph Hubby should wait to take down the nets phor the season.

Hubby reassured Phil that little sluggers were no danger to our big window. It's those overstuphphed big guys who drink themselves into oblivion aphter the game that we have to worry about.

Rainy Day Drama

It's cold, windy, and rainy outside, so Phil and the phurry ones have been passing the time playing ball. There was a stop in play, however, when the blue ball rolled underneath our kitchen organizer. 

How many phurry ones will it take to phree the ball phrom the conphines oph the organizer?

Duke is certain it can be reached phrom above. Our light bulbs will never be the same aphter the shake-up they endured.

Izzy insisted the ball was beneath the wire shelph...

...but Duke phelt surely it was best to come in phrom the top.

No, Izzy stuck to her guns, thinking there had to be a better way.

Phil is keeping his eye on the sky this evening because we're in a tornado watch.

Phil can't remember the last time there was a tornado watch in October.

Phungal Growth

All the rain we've had this phall has encouraged the growth oph quite a phew mushrooms. The ones in the phront yard are the same kind that grow in Mom Kathy's yard.

 She doesn't like them because they look...well...dirty.

There's an apple crisp stewing in the slow cooker...
