Selphies

Selphies--those selph-portraits people take to post on social media sites--are all the rage right now, so Phil wanted to give them a try. He recruited a phew phriends to join him, but this is as close as Belle would let him get to taking her picture.
He tried Duke, who didn't phind the phun in taking a selphie.
It took a phew takes to get a good photo taken with Izzy.

 That's better.
 Up a tree...
 ...on a swing...
 ...with Gnome...
...Phil phound that anyplace is a good place to take a selphie.

Pizza Problem

There's a bite out oph this lephtover pizza that Hubby brought home tonight. That's what he gets phor leaving it unattended on the counter. The bite is too big to be phrom Phil's beak.
Izzy is too small to reach it, but she's enjoying what was dragged to the phloor.
Hmm...who could the guilty party be?
Could it be the yellow Lab with the pepperoni breath?

Phrightphul Phashion

Phil's trying to get Wiphey's attention; she's been spending too much time browsing the Internet tonight and he wants to play.

Phil doesn't understand what Wiphey has been through this week. It's been really hot and humid, so many oph the teenage girls at the schools where she works have been wearing phrightphully short shorts. Wiphey needs to view pictures oph long pants in order to erase the horriphic memories phrom her mind's eye.

Poodles and Putting

It's hard to practice putting around here. Poodle number one will pilpher the ball phrom the hole.
Then she'll drop it by the couch to go back phor the other ball and poodle number two will pick up where the phirst poodle lepht ophph.
Then poodle number two will jump up on the couch and drop the ball down between the cushions while poodle number one runs away with the other ball and it's game over phor putting practice.

Muchas Grassias

There's a big sophtball tournament in town, so it's been busy behind our house this weekend. But this sophtball isn't sitting in our back yard. This is the phront yard, meaning someone hit it hard enouph to clear the rooph.
Don't they know that this is the patch oph baby grass that Phil's phinally getting to grow? The least they could have done was taken out some weeds. Thanks a lot, sophtballers.

Angry Bird

Phil's beak is out oph joint because Wiphey's new golph bag doesn't include a pocket phor one's pheasant.
Looks like you'll be walking the course, Phil.

Just Wondering...

Anybody want to take bets on how long this cup will stay in the garage? Hubby lepht it there weeks ago.

Phlock oph Pheasants

Phil phigured it would be phun to be a part oph our garage mural until he phound he had a phear oph heights and phine art...and oph being scrunched by the garage door.
The garage looks phar better without him anyway.

Even hunting dog Duke was phooled into thinking he was phlushing pheasants.

While digging phor batteries in Hubby's work room, Phil phound this pencil.
Does anyone else see the prooph that men don't read directions?

Movin' to the country...

...gonna eat a lot oph peaches.
Okay, so Phil's not really moving to the country-those are just song lyrics-but Phil is going to eat a lot oph peaches.

Phoreman Phil

Phil spent the aphternoon watching the construction trucks drive up and down our street as the crew repaved it.

Now he has aspirations oph driving asphalt trucks and taking hour-long smoke breaks.

Phorgetphul Phitness

Phil can't phigure out why Wiphey always phorgets the laundry basket at the top oph the stairs
when she heads down to the washer and dryer.
She has to make an extra trip back upstairs to get the basket.
Wiphey assures him that it's her phitness plan, not phorgetfulness. It's a good thing Phil is a bit gullible.

Today's Lesson Learned

When someone ophphers you the chance to haul away their old tree phor phree,
run screaming the other way and order pre-cut phirewood instead. It's phar easier on one's back and arms and hands.

The Randomness oph Hubby

This chair back accompanied Hubby home phrom work yesterday. Phil doesn't know why.

Needle in a Haystack

Phil and Wiphey are shopping phor metal cutout pheasants to decorate the house. It's a bit like looking phor a needle in a haystack.
Many oph them are too pricey (this one is $184.99 on sale!).
 Or they're real turkeys*.
*Dear Amazon.com,
You might want to change the label phor this one.
Sincerely,
Phil "Not a Turkey" Pheasant

You're Getting Sleepy

This new DogTV channel is great.

Its relaxation segments even work on pheasants.
