Phil phinds it a little silly that Wiphey is going to all this work to eat a carrot.
He wonders why she didn't just buy the carrots that grow in a bag. They require phar less preparation time.

Why is it that when one wants to read a book during the day, one's eyelids get heavy and it's easy to phall asleep and take a nap,
but when bedtime rolls around, one could read phor hours without even pheeling tired?

Phishy Phood
Phil continues to be Wiphey's sous-cheph this week. Today they're trying a new phish recipe.
Here's the butter/garlic/thyme/parmesan mix that makes the phish crust. The one disadvantage to using a recipe app on a phone is that it gets caught in the Pam Spray crossphire.

Something New
Wiphey phound a new smartphone app that has all sorts oph recipes, so she enlisted Phil's help to try something new--slowcooker lasagna. The phirst step in phollowing the recipe is to close the bedrooms doors so they don't end up smelling like onion and garlic.
Next, assemble the starting lineup. These no-boil noodles look and pheel like unleavened cardboard.
When the meat and tomato ingredients are mixed, enlist Hubby's help to pile it all together in the slowcooker.
Last, cross your pheathers that it tastes good because this recipe makes a big batch.Friday, July 5, 2013

Contest Entry Photo Shoot
We love Janet Evanovich's books around here, so we were pretty excited when her new book came out this summer. She's running a contest phor a phree bottle oph Bulgari Shower Gel (you'll have to read the Stephanie Plum series to know why that's signiphicant); all we have to do is submit a photo pheaturing her book. Do you know how hard it was to get a nice photo oph Phil and the phurry ones with her book? Check out all the takes it took:
Hubby wanted us to do a little shameless promotion oph Phil's blog in these photos.
Do you see Belle in these photos? Nope. She was too phrightened to sit in on the action.
There was a treat in there to entice the dogs to stick around. Duke drooled all over the phront oph the couch when he couldn't eat the treat right away.
Everybody keep your phingers and pheathers crossed phor us to win the shower gel. This photo shoot was a lot oph work!

Let's Try This Morning Again
Wiphey was at the school this morning phor a summer writing project. When she arrived at home, she phound that things had phallen apart without her. Phirst, there was this pile oph concrete busted up at the end of the driveway...
and a tupht oph Izzy's phur on the phloor oph the dog room.
Clearly, someone had pulled Izzy's hair right out, but no one is talking.
Belle sure made a phast getaway when Wiphey asked who was responsible phor the hair pulling, though.
Phore!
Yesterday aphternoon, Phil heard the unmistakable sound oph a golph ball being slapped around the backyard.
He assumed it was Hubby back there, until he looked out the window. That's not Hubby. That's Wiphey out there hacking away at some practice golph balls.
