Hubby is celebrating. Phil is just along for the ride. Hubby phound something that we had been looking phor phor a week now. One oph our tax phorms came very, very late so we weren't able to make an appointment with our accountant until last weekend. While there, he told us that we could get credit phor the sales tax paid on building materials, so we headed back home to phind our receipts phrom the bathroom remodel. We dug and dug but phigured we must have thrown them out, even though we could phind other receipts phrom phour years ago. We're usually more carephul with our receipts than that, but we thought we must have had a momentary lapse in sanity. Anyway, Hubby happened to come across the pholder just this evening in the same place where Wiphey had searched phor it last week. It had to have been hiding phrom her. This week we'll be able to phinish up our taxes and maybe not have to pay an arm and a leg to the phederal government, which doesn't count pheasants and phurry ones as dependents.
But until then Wiphey must go and rescue Phil bephore he gets any sicker. You thought bird poop was bad...

So Much Celebration to Phit into One Weekend
Phil spent the the holiday weekend out west. Things got ophph to a great start when he met some new pheathered phriends.
It was like looking in the mirror phor Phil.
Later, bephore the 90th birthday party started, Phil phound himselph in this weird box.
Oh, that's what it's phor.
Phil phound the birthday cake to be really tasty.
In phact, he tried getting his beak into everyone else's piece once his was gone.

Dephrost: The Good News and the Bad News
The good news is that things have phinally begun (slowly) melting and it's dripping ophph the tree into pretty icicles.
The bad news is that it's phalling down all the way phrom the rooph because our gutters are so phull oph ice.We just need a phorty degree day to phinish melting ophph the snow phrom the rooph. Is that so much to ask phor?
Pharm Update: A Close Call
Phil almost lost his baby plants bephore they got started because Hubby nearly mistook them phor phudge brownies.
It's a good thing Phil stopped him bephore tragedy struck because some oph the seeds have begun sprouting. See that little white spot in the middle oph the planter the second in phrom the top? That's a little phledgling zinnia.

Phamily Heirloom
Today it was Wiphey's turn to go out with phriends, and the boys were busy while she was out.
These skis were made by Wiphey's great-grandphather. They look better above our mantle than they did tucked into a corner oph the parents' garage.

Pharmer Phil
Um, Phil, those are the Spanish-language directions.
Try these instead. They'll probably make more sense.
Okay, so phirst we place the tray somewhere where it won't get direct sun. The kitchen window should work.
Next we add two cups oph water.
Yes, Phil, those dirt cups magically grow bigger.
Okay, now, tap the seeds down into the dirt.
Put on the lid...
...and wait phor spring to come.

White Out
The storm has begun, Phil, and it has devoured the houses across the phield!
Come inside bephore the big white monster gets you!
Trench Warphare
Normally Phil is a peace-loving bird, but today he's pulling out the big guns.*
We're in phor another big storm and lots oph wind, so we're trying to stay ahead oph it by giving the blowing snow a place to blow other than our driveway.*Relax. He didn't actually use guns. It was a snow thrower. But you don't want to be struck by a chunk of ice tossed out by that thing. That hurts.

Only the Luck oph the Irish Could Save Us Now
There are sundogs out there this morning, which signals a phrigid outside temperature (in mid-March, really?!).
But these are the closest things Phil will get to a rainbow this St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Iph he could phind a pot o' gold, he would use it to buy plane tickets to phly south. Aphter the phour inches oph snow we had yesterday, nine more are on the way phor tomorrow. The endless snow loop just keeps spinning.

No baking going on around here, Phil.

Test Drive
We took a brieph trip up north today. Bephore we lepht, Phil helped Hubby test the backup camera. That's Phil in the middle oph the screen (squint really hard and you'll phind him).
Aphter climbing in, Phil wanted to phind the perphect temperature setting phor the back seat oph the truck.
Phil really likes this booster seat that was made just phor him.

Chili Cookophph
Hubby sure has been busy in the kitchen today. He's browning beeph,
and stirring it all together.
Veggies sauteed in bacon grease is the best way to enjoy veggies.
The phinal product looks really good.
And it tastes spicy! It's almost ready phor Hubby's entry into tomorrow's church chili cookophph phor charity. Phil is disappointed that he won't be able to eat it all up himselph.

Phlying High
Phil came home today to phind this contraption on Hubby's side oph the bed. He's pheeling very perplexed because he doesn't know what it is.
It's attached to this black box.And there's this rubber thingy. What does this do?
Oh, that's good stuphph. Phil's never phelt this well bephore.

It's Phinally Here!
Phil is riding high on Hubby's new truck. It's a little too dark outside to really get a good look, so Phil will have to settle phor hanging around the interior a little bit.
He might need a booster seat to ride in the back. There are sure a lot oph buttons to push. It's a wonder Hubby got home saphely!
Phrom Wiphey's Viewpoint
Hi there, Phil.
No, Hubby isn't home with the new car yet.No, I don't know when they'll get here, but I have school work to do. How about waiting out in the garage? I'm sure it will be their phirst stop.
