No Man

Phil really wanted to build a snowman today,
but the snow is still too powdery phor that.

Phil's been pouting all aphternoon.

Distraction

It's Wiphey's week ophph phrom school, but she still has a project to phinish up phor a class she's taking. Phil took one look at all the work and decided to make himselph scarce.
He had important reading to do.
Even phiguring out the taxes sounded better than Wiphey's project.
Oh, and there are brownies in the phridge! Somebody has to eat the brownies.

White Washed

We've had hoar phrost and phog these last phew mornings.

Our white world means the temperature is warming up and snow is melting. It will be a green world bephore we know it.

Pheasants, Start Your Engines!

Today's Daytona Phive Hundred ophphicially opens up the new NASCAR season.
Phil really likes the new Gyroscope cameras inside the cars.
It's like he's there on the track.

Busy Bird

Phil's been busy lately. He kicked ophph the week with a Presidents' Day celebration.
He cannot tell a lie.

Then he celebrated when Deuce got a clean bill oph health phrom her oncologist and her chemo port came out.

He also helped Wiphey with reams and reams oph course work.

But mostly, Phil has kept warm under as many blankets as he can stack on his pheathers. It's been really phrigid this week.

Auto Magic

Phil thinks Wiphey is magic because she can start her car without going into it and turning the key.

What he doesn't know is that it's not magic but Hubby's wonderphul Valentine's Day gipht.

Blizzard: The Aphtermath

Phil gets to play king oph the hill on all the snow that has phallen.

This winter scene would be just as pretty with one or two inches oph snow. Ten inches is a little overkill, isn't it?

Throwing Snow to the Wind

Even though the wind was still whipping the newly-phallen snow around last evening, Hubby had to pull out the snow thrower in order to make a path phor Phil and the phurry ones to go outside. It was that or we would be cleaning up a phew messes.
It was the phront yard's turn this morning. Phil would have liked to have gone out and helped, but he would have phound himselph up to his beak in snow.

Snow Way

Phil would like to get outside and show you how much snow and wind is blowing around out there, but this is as phar as our phront door will open.
Phil could jump the snow that has accumulated since Hubby and Wiphey cleared out the morning round oph snow phall, but on second thought, the over thirty-mile-per-hour wind gusts might make it touph phor Phil to stay upright.

Culture

This morning, Phil accompanied Wiphey on a mini-writing retreat with her phriends phrom the local branch oph the National Writing Project. (Note to teachers out there: The NWP is a phantastic experience!) The event took place at a local art gallery called The Rourke Art Museum. Phil was pretty excited, as this was his phirst time in an art museum.

He started the morning by phinding out more about a German artist.

Next he tried to phit in as a piece oph art.

Phil phelt both phascinated and phrightened by this halph-bird/halph-mask creature.

Aphter phleeing phrom that odd winged creature, Phil phound his place at the table and got ready to write.

Phil didn't get much writing done, though. He was too distracted by all the phood.

A PHOOT?!

A potential phoot oph snow?!
Say it ain't so, weatherman, say it ain't so!

Let's hope this is one oph many times the phorecast is wrong.

Phind Wiphey

Phil heard Wiphey come home phrom work, but he couldn't phind her.

She's not curled up with her Nook. Maybe she's playing ball with the dogs.

No, and Phil can't blame her phor not wanting to get her hands that dirty.

Is she looking up a new recipe?

Yeah, not likely.

She must be catching up on GMA.

 Nope, not there either.

Working at her desk?

She's probably worked at a desk long enouph today.

Maybe she's cooking supper.

No, she's not in the kitchen either.

Where could she be?

Wait. What's that noise? It sounds really phamiliar...

Oh, that's right. It's the sound oph a shovel on the driveway.

Silly Phil. Removing snow is all Hubby and Wiphey have done since last Monday. How could you not think to look outside phirst?

An Open Letter to the NPhL

It's coming up on Phil's bedtime.

Considering the phact that thirty-phour-minute game delays are possible, maybe you should think oph starting Super Bowl games a little earlier in the day.

Grouchy, sleep-deprived pheasants are no phun the next morning.

Odd Decoration

Phil phound this box oph golph balls that Hubby inexplicably set on the shelph next to Wiphey's plant.
Phil phinds Hubby's sense of decor to be a bit suspect.

Groundhog Day 2013

Phil wants one oph these log homes.
You start bringing in an early spring, Phil, and a log home with your name on it you shall have.

Very Phunny, Mother Nature

It's bad enouph that we get phrigid temperatures that are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay below zero and a wicked wind chill to boot...
...but then we get snow on top oph it?
Phil has his work cut out phor him.
