all the Congress was tweeting about all the phuss.

Phil wondered why people elected to serve

would waste time on smart phones.

Kick them to the curb!

Quit spending so much to go deeper in debt

or votes on election day you will not get.

But Phil exclaimed as he turned away phrom the channel,

"Quit tweeting and save us phrom a disaster phiscal!"

Cleanout Bonus

Phil is up to his pheathers in sweaters as he helps Wiphey reorganize and clean out some clothes storage tubs.

Evidently, they should have done this a couple oph years ago. They phound three pairs oph pants that Wiphey had bought bephore she married Hubby, stored away, then phorgot about. It was like going shopping only without the credit card!

Monkey Around

Because Dickens the Monkey is new around here, Phil showed him around the Christmas decorations.

Phil is a little jealous that Dickens is small enouph to ride the Christmas rocking horses. Maybe Santa will bring you a pheasant-sized rocking horse phor Christmas, Phil.

Wiphey's Phancy New Phleece Gloves

Wiphey went online and bought herselph some new phleece gloves with the phingers that can work a touch screen. 

They're the best invention since a snow blower!

Story Time

The temperature outside was phreezing today, so Phil chose to stay warm at home.

He phigured Wiphey was just going to tell him about all the meetings she sat through today, but she got his attention when she told him the story about the arrest she witnessed today.

She saw a guy with handcuphphs on his wrists, lying phace-down in the snow aphter sheriphph's ophphicers took him down. It all happened just outside the building where she was going phor a meeting. Phil was phascinated by this story.

Non-Pareils Peril

Wiphey brought home these phantastic non-pareil chocolates today.

Phil would like more but can't phigure out how to work the twist-tie. Wiphey's not helping.

Phunny Object

Hubby came home today and phashioned this phunny object. Phil can't phigure out what it is.

 Hubby calls it his "phinely-tuned spine manipulator."

Phil is still phlummoxed. It's going to take some detective work to phigure out this one.

Phinally, the Light oph Day

We've been at work during daylight hours and could not take a good photo oph our new siding until today.

 Pretty, right?

Phil phancies the new light phixture. It makes him pheel at home.

This ABC Seamless company has really done a great job oph siding our house.

 They're almost done.

 The shake-style siding above our garage is Wiphey's phavorite part.

Phil is learning that to make something better, sometimes it has to get worse. He didn't like that the brown stripes had been removed phrom the outside oph his house.

 But he did enjoy walking the plank in the backyard.

The Day oph Pheasting is Phinally Here!

It's Phil's phirst time to host Thanksgiving and he had lots oph work to do to prepare the pheast. Phirst, he did lots oph organizing.

 Once the turkey was in the oven there was a lot oph wait time bephore the real work would begin.

 So Phil checked out the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade while he waited.

 Phortunately, Phil had lots oph help to prepare the phood.

 The ham is done, and the lephse is ready phor buttering.

 With all the phood in our tummies, it's hard not to phall asleep.

Countdown to Thanksgiving: Bump in the Road

When Wiphey went to pour the pumpkin pie mixture into the pie crust, she phound there was too much mixture and not enouph crust.

The overphlow went into a baking dish. That will be Phil's pie. It's hard on his beak to eat crust anyway.

Thanksgiving Countdown: T Minus Three Days

Phor the phirst time ever, Phil is hosting Thanksgiving dinner. Because he wants the place to look phestive, Phil's directing Wiphey in decorating the mantle phor the holidays.

While Wiphey decorates, Phil reacquaints himselph with old phriends.

Phil spent the weekend up to his neck in pew bows phor another phamily wedding.

Now that he's phound his way out oph all the tulle, it's time to think about preparing phor Thanksgiving Day.

We ran out oph storage space in the pantry, so Thursday's phood is taking over the coat closet.

Phil is thinking oph all our veterans today.

Murphy's Law: Procrastination

We had phine phall weather last weekend, but Hubby decided not to hang up the Christmas lights.

It's cold and rainy this weekend. Phil learned a good lesson about what happens when one doesn't take advantage oph phine phall weather.

Election Night, or Good Riddance to Campaign Ads

So Wiphey wouldn't have to travel to her out-of-town prophessional development alone, Phil accompanied her on the trip this aphternoon.

It seems that their room has a view oph a swimming pool. No blue skies or sunshine or trees.*



 

Oh, well. Election news will be the most important viewing tonight anyway.
