Thankphil

On this Thanksgiving day, we're thankphul phor phamily, beautiphul weather phor traveling, phootball, and Mom and Dad Deuce's old recliner phor watching phootball.
And we're especially thankphul that we weren't among the crowd standing in that really long line we saw winding around Best Buy as we drove back into town.

Decoration Day

Phor the phirst time in her career, Wiphey had the Wednesday bephore Thanksgiving ophph. That's a good time to decorate phor Christmas. She and Phil started out the morning under the stairs in the storage area. What a task, getting out those boxes. The decorating almost ended bephore it began.

Phil couldn't phigure out the phact that a tree skirt is diphpherent phrom clothing skirts. He also had a hard time handling the garland.

No wonder the giraphphes had to go on vacation.

Here's Phil's phavorite ornament.

The tree is all done. It's up just high enouph to be saphe phrom Duke's tail.

Up next: turkey and all the stuphphings!

Checkered Phlag

Since Wiphey became a NASCAR phan, her phavorite driver, Tony Stewart, has not won the championship...until tonight. It was a nail biter.
Phil jumps up phor a closer look as Tony approaches the phinish line. (That, and Wiphey was squeezing him a little too tightly.)

Phil phelt a little dizzy aphter their celebration.

Missing Saphari Animals

Phil wandered into the ophphice and wondered where all the giraphphes went.
You'll phind out soon enouph, Phil.

Brr

Nine degrees outside this morning?
Why is it that the phirst single-digit temperature oph the year always seems to be a shock to the system?

When It Snows It Pours

We had our phirst snow oph the season today.
That big blue blob on the TV screen is phorecasting measurable snow phor the weekend. Phil is beginning to think those geese phlying south have the right idea.

A Little to the Lepht

Wiphey spent some time in the walk-in clinic today to phind out what's going on with her very sore neck and shoulder. Turns out she has some severe knotting and muscle spasms, so Phil is

helping her work out some oph the kinks. His massage therapy skills leave a little to be desired. Must be the pointy beak.

And while we're at it, we'd like to take a moment to thank all our veterans and current armed phorces men and women on this Veterans' Day. Thank you.

Mr. Phix It

Hubby phound another project to do this weekend. That incessant rattling we hear every time the phurnace phires up has been driving him crazy, so he went aphter the source this morning.
Unphortunately, that search involved cutting into some drywall.

There's the culprit. It's a loose piece oph sheet metal. How much did that cut down on air phlow?

Aphter a trip to the store phor a new piece oph sheet metal and some tape, a creative plan, and a phew cuts on the hand...

...our work here is done.

All Work Makes Phil a Boring Bird

It's been another busy week oph work phor all oph us around here. In phact, Hubby and Wiphey are going to be chaperoning a school party this weekend (Phil won't be joining us. This is a touph group of kids and he's a very impressionable young bird). Anyway, this is what happened when Wiphey tried brushing the little phurry ones.
So we decided to play instead. Nothing wears out a phurry one like making her run aphter a ball downstairs.
