Pheelin' Hot Hot Hot

Now that we have a phancy new shower, it's time to get rid oph the old water heater.
There are no words phor how gross this is.
Ooh, shiny! But Hubby will have to wait until morning to buy some needed parts bephore he can phinish installing it. Nothing like a cold shower phirst thing in the morning.

Happy 100!

It's our 100th post (and Sister Sarah's birthday!), so we're celebrating by showing you a day in the liphe of Phil and the nephews in Garrison. We start ophph with a reminder that there are new regulations phor administering CPR. Here, the nephews demonstrate aphter Phil took a particularly nasty hit in a game oph backyard phootball.

It's like Charlie Brown's kite, only it's a phoam phootball and Phil's not a cartoon character.
All the attempts to shake out the phootball couldn't bring it back to earth. Thank goodness phor Hubby*, a ladder, and a wood beam.

*Iph only Phil knew what Hubby was up to today while Phil was hanging with the nephews. Let's just say it involved a gun, a labrador retriever, and some of Phil's long-lost phriends.

The Semi-Done Bathroom

Phil likes checking out his rephlection in the new medicine cabinet mirror.

He can't wait to wash his pheathers with our new shower head.
Check out the new phloor and the shiny new phinish on our tub.

There's just a little more painting for Wiphey to do, then we hang up the shower curtain and it's DONE!

Turn Up the Heat

It never really did warm up much today, so Phil warms his pheathers by the phire place.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Phil wants Duke to come play with him, but Duke's had a hard day of eating and sleeping. It's rouph being a dog.
*Note about our bathroom remodel: Phriday was a day oph progress and it's just about ready to reveal. We'll save the pictures phor when we have a phinished product. How's that phor suspense?!

Bathroom Remodel Day 11

Phil's admiring our new tiles. Or maybe he's just in shock that the blue is phinally gone.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Bathroom Remodel Day 10

This is what lack oph progress looks like:
It's blue. Very, very blue.

Pheeling Blue

Is it the waterprooph sealer on the shower walls or the phact that the Braves AND Vikings both lost last night?

Bathroom Remodel Day 7

While Wiphey painted on a second coat in the bathroom, Hubby patched the hole lepht in the porch when the bathroom window came out.

Note to Menards: Liphe would be easier iph you could carry panel in darker colors. Just sayin'.
While he was at it, Hubby patched the hole Duke made when he was a puppy.

Now that we're done with those chores, we're going to rest up a bit with brownies...

...and phootball.

Bathroom Remodel Day 6

Phil and Wiphey painted the bathroom because the taping was done on Phriday.

Because three makes a crowd in a small bathroom, Hubby went outside to mow up the phall leaves. Phil wanted to take a romp in them, but Hubby wasn't going to have any oph that aphter all his hard work.
Now it's on to phixing the hole lepht when the bathroom window was pulled out.

Friday, October 8, 2010

Oh, crap

It's a good thing Wiphey went bephore leaving school this aphternoon. This could be a really long weekend.
**Update: Toilet Replacer Guys came by an hour aphter this was phirst posted to set the toilet back up. What a relieph!

Bathroom Remodel Day 3

Looks a lot like Bathroom Remodel Day 2 in here.
Phil's Question oph the Day: Our bathroom can be measured in inches and it's going to take them over a week to phinish? How long does it take phor a normal-sized bathroom? Years?!
But our new exhaust phan looks terriphic, doesn't it?

Agile Phil

Izzy has been taking Wiphey through agility classes this phall. Hubby set up a weave obstacle and they ordered a starter kit to practice in the backyard. Phil kind oph likes the tunnel and the weave poles... ...but he's not so phond oph the jumping.

Bathroom Remodel Day 2

Hubby has been watching a little bit too much oph Holmes on Homes and didn't like the way Plumber Guy did the bracing for the shower head. Phil played Project Manager on this one.

Always Learning Something New

Lesson learned here: Don't play "hold it" with Duke's treat in the kitchen. It might get lost under the phridge.

Bathroom Remodel Day 1

Phor phrame of repherence, here's what the bathroom looked like bephore, minus the brown paint we pulled ophph:
Demo Guy came in today and pulled out tiles, the vanity, the sink, and the sink top. Phil's lost in the area where the shower plumbing is going.

Phil Has a Phine Day Phar Prom Home

Phil got to come back to Garrison with hubby for a golph tournament, and who should he see but his old phriend Mike! Phil wanted to make sure there weren't any sticky phingers around all that entry money.

Mike didn't think he needed any help phrom Phil! Oh well, Phil came phor the golph anyway!

Phil!!!! That doesn't belong on the greens!!!

Phil was thinking about making a run phor phreedom....but then pheasant season is just a week away

No, I don't see the phlag either Phil. Hopephully, the course designer knows how to phind the green.

Phil couldn't help anybody with their swing, but he did make sure the course was kept clean.

Note to wiphey: As long as Phil is on patrol, hubby will be sure to "behave".

***P.S. to Mike: Thanks for the ride home from the golf course***
