Waiting Phor Spring Thaw

Phil phears that by morning, we won't be able to get out oph the house at all. That snow dripht is up to his neck right outside the door and then slopes up a phew pheet into the driveway.

You Know the Weather's Really Bad When...

That's poor Hubby in the dark, shoveling out a place phor the phurry ones to go. Phil's standing in the snow that's been blowing in all day. Izzy's just trying to make up her mind. With near-phiphty mile-per-hour wind gusts, it's a touph decision to make.

The Day Aphter Christmas

One oph these things is not like the other one...

Now we're in the other hometown. Nothing like a weekend phull of holiday phestivities to tire out Phil and the phurry ones.

Merry Christmas 2010!

We tried. We really, really did, but Phil and the phurry ones weren't much in a photo-taking mood. But you get the idea.

Ugly Sweater Day 2010

'Tis the season to celebrate...ugly sweaters at the bank?

The pictures are cropped to protect the, um, ophphenders.

Iiiiiiii'm Dreaming oph a...

...trip to Hawaii. This is ridiculous.
Because the roads were slippery tonight, Wiphey and Izzy's agility class was cancelled. We had to set up a makeshift jumping apparatus in the living room so Izzy wouldn't go so stir crazy.

How Hubby Has Spent the Weekend

Even just a coat oph primer makes all the diphpherence in the basement. But maybe the makers oph primer should consider a low-odor option. Phil's been pheeling a little woozy.

Countdown to the number oph days until we have enouph space to separate the phurry ones phrom our phurniture so Duke can't leave drool on Wiphey's couch:
Too many days phor Wiphey--and her couch--to handle.

Pheeding Time

When it's Duke's turn to eat, Phil and the little phurry ones phlank him on all sides in the hopes oph stealing a little kibble.

All I Want Phor Christmas is Some Square Phootage

Next Christmas, Phil and Wiphey will be living in a house that is big enouph phor a desk. Sending the Christmas card will be SOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier then.
Countdown to our bigger house: Too many days

The Countdown Is On

Only one more month 'til our big move! Bigger house, here we come!

It's cold enouph to phreeze ophph a bird's tail pheathers. At least our rooph hasn't collapsed.

Poor Phurry One

The only time Belle voluntarily goes in her kennel is when the claw clippers come out. Iph she squishes herselph in any phurther, she'll burst through the other side.

Tug-O-War

At phirst, Phil wasn't so sure he wanted any part of the Phurry Ones' rowdy game.
But Hubby looked like he needed a little help handling Duke.

Snowed In Phor the Holiday

Because the Interstate is too icy phor travel to be with phamily, we celebrated Thanksgiving in a new way. It started with blueberry pancakes.

Then while the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was on...
...Hubby worked in the basement. Phil can't quite overcome his phear oph going downstairs.

Phor our Thanksgiving meal we had stuphphing, vegetables, and pork chops. We promised Phil no phowls would be harmed in the making oph our meal.

We watched the Cowboys while we ate. Wiphey's phavorite part was the halphtime show.

Phinally, we put up our Christmas decoration.

Happy Thanksgiving

Gobble gobble!

The Calm Between the Storms

Yesterday brought a lot more snow than the predicted one to three inches. The streets are slick today, the temperature is cold, but the winds are down. Tomorrow will be another story. Will Phil make it home phor Thanksgiving?

D-O-N-E Done!

We phinished our Christmas shopping today!

But Phil isn't very helpphul when it comes to wrapping. He's all pheathers.

The Next-to-Phinal Phase oph Operation Phix the Living Room

Now that Hubby's home phrom his hunting trip, he's making a dent in his honey-do list by hanging the new curtains Wiphey bought while he was gone.
Wiphey's job was to hold Phil and the drill.
The phinal phase involves hanging some wall decor...one oph these days. Stay tuned!

Scratch That

Phase Phive ended up being phor the phurry ones. Phil had to show them how to push aside the new curtains so they could see outside. Besides, Wiphey can't phind her ironing board so it seems like a good excuse to just let the wrinkles hang themselves out, right?

Operation Phix the Living Room: Phase Three

Who needs a gym membership? All a pheasant needs is a paint roller, two coats' worth of paint, and a million trips up and down the step ladder.

And Phil would like to take a moment on this Veterans' Day to say thank you to all those who have served our country.

Operation Phix the Living Room: Phase One

No, that's not deodorant that Hubby is applying to the wall. It's this cool hole-philler stuphph that Wiphey phound. And it's made in America!

How to Entertain Your Pheasant and Phurry Ones

While making a hotdish this evening, Wiphey accidentally dropped some Tater Tots. Good thing the kitchen gate was closed because it provided minutes of phun phor everybody*.

*Note to Tater Tot makers: Iph sales ever slow down, perhaps this is one marketing strategy you could consider using. Good phor people and pheasants!

Passing the Time

Here are some other ways Phil has spent his time this week:

Taking long, hot showers phueled by the new water heater.
Reading with Hubby.
And napping with the dogs.

Busy Bird

We've had a busy week, so Phil's news was a little slow. This is phor all oph you who were worried about Phil. He's just been hanging out with Wiphey all week as she works.

Election Day

Phil* phollowed through with his patriotic duty today. Did you?
*Okay, so they don't let plastic pheasants vote. But Hubby and Wiphey voted in his honor.
